Posted - 22/05/2011 : 01:28:11 Silver shed today and when I got it out it looked normal at first but then I noticed that it has his saddle marks printed on it, lightly but clearly visable in the right light. The shed looks healthy other than that. The pattern goes all the way along the top. I've looked at silver and he seems perfectly fine with nothing wrong with his scales.
Can't get any pics up at the mo but any explanations would be helpful!
Cheers

Posted - 22/05/2011 : 07:04:56 yep it's just the melanin pigment in the shed skin
the more pigment (colour) the snake has, the darker it's shed skin will be, my snow leaves no visible pattern on his shed, and the boas and JCP sheds are particularly detailed! |
