Hi,

Was wondering if someone could help me. I think my adult corn snake has mites. She shedded two weeks ago and is about to shed again, this is what made me think she had caught them. I then spotted what I thought was a mite in her water bowl. However this is the only one I've found. I have cleaned everything and bathed her twice and have not found anything. Could there be another reason why she is about to shed again? She has not been in contact with a male snake, so she is not pregnant.

Thank you in advance

have a look at the stickies on this health section, there is plenty in there to help you find out, and to identify them. from the sounds of it, i dont think so. Shedding isnt a symptom of mites generally.
