Posted - 14/04/2011 : 13:26:23 Hi,
A little bit of advice would be nice. My snake hasn't eaten for about 6 weeks now. She is still active in the tank and smells the food but just buggers off! i have tried small mouse/rats but still nothing.
any ideas? |

no, that's not what you said.
you're a banned user that's signed up with a different email address. don't stir things while Admin are making a decision as to whether the ban will remain, it won't do your case any favours.

and adjusting the temp of the heatmat will do nothing for the cool end temps......
no centric u said " if you have your heat mat temp at 29.1C and if you are using a thermostat, you won't need to alter any temperatures to compensate for the great weather we have had.
You would only need to do that IF the cool side was above the normal "cool" temps"

Posted - 28/04/2011 : 03:59:05 I was about to suggest that idea lol!!!
Just a quick thing, if you have your heat mat temp at 29.1C and if you are using a thermostat, you won't need to alter any temperatures to compensate for the great weather we have had.
You would only need to do that IF the cool side was above the normal "cool" temps,
If they are not, just leave it as you have had it before.

Posted - 14/04/2011 : 19:15:18 my snake stopped eating for the last 3 weeks which is unusal for it, i read a few threads here and some said to put the food in the viv under a hide and just leave it for 24 hours, so thats what i did yesterday and hey presto! it was in there 45 mins and he gobbled it up, 29c is fine for the warm end, hope that helps |

Posted - 14/04/2011 : 16:50:29 Oops sorry!
She is 3 years old and 3ft and a bit. She would eat every 10 days or so on medium sized mice or rats. The viv is 3 foot and the temp at the warn end was about 29oc but have turned it down as my pet store advised it may be affecting her because of the warmer weather we have had. i only did this 3 days ago though.
hope this helps
