Posted - 09/04/2011 : 16:50:48 Hello all, just checked on my cornsnake today and noticed he has developed a strange white line down his spine.
I fed him at the start of the week and it wasn't there and since then he has shed his skin.
At first I thought it was a dodgy shed, but on closer inspection it looks like the scales along his spine have lost pigmentation. Has anyone seen anything like this before?
I really hope there isn't anything sinister going on.
Cheers,

Posted - 09/04/2011 : 21:03:08 hmmmm! bizarre! though they often start to change colour again at about 8-10 years old, would be very interested to see how this pigment-loss progresses (if at all)
at least he's just going grey not going bald |

Posted - 09/04/2011 : 16:58:30 I had suspected as much - he isn't any kind of spring chicken. He's about 10 years old - a strange age to start experimenting with fashion!
I'll keep checking here throughout the day though just in case anyone does suspect anything sinister! |

Posted - 09/04/2011 : 16:53:43 my corn got this. i think it just a change of colour as mine only had it after he shed at about 6 months old and it got worse ( more loss of pigmant) and now has white spots. nothing to worry about |
