Right as title says, I took my 3/4 yr oldCarolina corn caret to the vets, with an unusual swelling of his body, which stops before his cloaca.
Now vet palpated his body there was no reaction, he is eating fine, he is pooing n peeing fine, have checked him for mites, nothing new has been introduced, temps are fine.he shed last Saturday totally clean no problems as always. And he ate small mouse on return from the vet, only thing I can think of is bacteria infection somehow or a food item was too big ,but I'm no vet,but always has either med mammates or mice.So if anyone has ideas then let me know can't load pics yet as doing this via phone.

My guess would be that maybe chubby or an infection. Ther's a type of one that can have a simular appereance to the look of a fat snake.

I third on pictures and maybe tell us the feeding?

Could he be chubby? Just a thought. Pictures would help :)

Was the vet a specialist rep vet or a standard 'domestic animal' vet?
