Hi guys,

im new here.

i have just rehomed my sister in laws corn on saterday"he?" is about 2 and at about 40" i have put him in a diy 3' 12" 18" viv and all heat ect seams ok.

BUT! he is just staying under the log at the cold end whats wrong?

corns like to hide, even more so after a move. You could do with dropping your warm end a few degrees if he is constantly in the cool end.

You cant rule out both. I would be tempted to turn the stat way down or even turn the mat off until your thermometers arrive, as long as the room is warm your snake will be fine and if he is always in the cold end it won't have any effect anyway.

yup, you would need a digital thermometer if you are going by the dial on the stat then the temps probably not 30 is possible it may be higher, the dial on the stats not anywhere near accurate enough,

heat mat covering just less than half the lenth on a habistat stat
set a 30 c

aspen shavings

feed on friday eve

any thing elce?

If you tell us about the setup and temps what your using to check the temps etc heat source, is it statted.

is nothing to worry about corns do hide away
