Posted - 15/05/2011 : 09:00:47 Glad to hear it. They certainly do like to worry us don't they. I have had 4 males on breeding mode lately. One hasn't eaten since January 1st and shows no sign of eating yet. However he has just gone blue again so I'm hoping he will eat once this shed is over. I have to say the fast has done him good, he was a little overweight before and he looks great now lol. |

Posted - 30/04/2011 : 09:02:28 I've yet to see Dakota go off her food, at just over 3 months old she's been feeding well for me and am prepared for her not wanting to eat when she has her first shed with me. |

Spread out to once a week or even once a fortnight, no point wasting food and if they have the horn presenting food so often may stress them out and further put them off food.

Posted - 04/04/2011 : 13:17:19 Took a large mouse today..6 weeks to the day since the last one.. It may help reassure any other newbies like me to not fret too much.. |

Posted - 23/03/2011 : 11:13:06 Well it puts into perspective all that worrying when you first get one and it may not feed for a week or so... Mine seems well enough...just looks love sick Trying every 2 - 3 days but no way can it be tempted..shows no interest at all....what a learning curve. |

Posted - 23/03/2011 : 11:11:10 5 weeks 6 days for Rhubard and he lost 25 grams which was an 8th of his body weight but he has eaten no probs the last 4 Sundays and is now back up to 190 grams but I did have to drop a mouse size before he would start to eat again. |

Posted - 06/03/2011 : 14:14:16 Mine (Rocky)has just gone into that. Not feeding at all 18 months old now. Assumed it was that, no interest in food just all over the viv for about the last 12 days. Guess I have to wait another week or so before things return to normal ! |

Posted - 06/03/2011 : 09:16:25 that's great news might still be worthwhile monitoring his weight on a monthly basis as it can be difficult to notice weight changes visually, then you always have a fairly recent note of his weight should he fast again |
