Hi peps!!

ive heard and read so many things about lighting that you dont need it and its just to make the tank look good and to able to see the snake.
1-what is the right wattage for a corn snake.
2- and does the lighting make the tank warmer
thanks kerry.

i have a 2% uv tube and it is just for viewing, nothing more
corns dont need any extra light from normal daylight, and they get their heat from the heat matt
the 2% uv tube i use, doesnt give off any extra heat, but as i say its just for viewing, and finding her when shes in hiding lol

think the mods etc will confirm this,

From what i've read lighting is normally just for viewing purposes, as long as yr heat mat etc is keeping temps fine. I'm currently looking into lighting that will aid viewing and also simulate both natural day and night light
