Posted - 12/01/2011 : 13:39:45 hello.i seen an ad for 2 corn snakes in my local paper and it says they about 16 months old.thaey have been in the same viv since hatching but they male and female.before i respond to the ad,can anyone tell me would it be wise to seperate and whats the average length of that age?and what would be the minimum sized viv for them? |

I'm not a very experienced owner, but hopefully my response will keep your thread high up
From what I've gathered from reading posts on the forum, shared accomodation is quite a contentious issue! My concern would be if they are opposite genders they may well try to breed before the females ready and also before you want babies, if you want any at all!
As for viv size, I was told to move my 9-week old up into a 3 foot viv at around 14 months old, but no idea how accurate this is! Also I imagine lengths at each age will vary from snake to snake.
