I put Charlie into his Normal feeding tub and I even put the mouse in there and set it all up for him to go in but did not notice
some stray selotape in there until AFTER he was already halfway through swallowing his mouse. He got stuck on the selotape, only a little bit and have no idea how it got there but I had to gently prize it off him! Now he is "blue" but not in deep enough not to feed and I noticed no immediate damage but will he be ok?
Having rather a lot of mis-haps recently I dont know how I missed it or how it got there but first I noticed was hearing him trying to pull himeslf off it (must of been loud enough to of drawn my attention to him).

one of my old snakes got caught on tape quite badly (cant remember quite how, it was yrs ago) so i bathed it off. the glue on tape seems to go all slimey when its wet so she wriggled right out of it with minimal damage. just one to remember if ya have another tape emergency. :)

Well he continued to eat it as he was trying to get himself off the selotape... it was then I noticed n my heart dropped I didnt know wether to leave him till he had swallowed the mouse or go in before ( nothing stops Charlie feeding he has quite an appetite) .. I knew it would only take a minute max for him to finish up enough to go in and help him so I painfully watched on to make sure he wasnt pulling too hard! (was amazed at how sticky they seem to get to it it was a piece that I had used to hold decorations up by the looks of it not very sticky but he had problems with it. I got him off it carefully and he near shot out of my hands back into his viv and I've left him to digest and he will probably continue to hide now as he goes deeper n deeper into blue (took cpl weeks last time to actually shed!)

Did he finish his meal or spit it out?

Its awful when things go wrong, don't blame yourself, its just one of those things. Check the tape for any skin that may have been pulled off, if its not on the tape then its unlikely to have caused any major problems. Also the fact he is in blue may be a saving grace, when they are blue they are separating their old skin from the new skin underneath so any damage would be limited to old and soon to be shed off skin.

Let's hope so only gave him a quick check over as he was a bit skittish as you can imagine and nowI dont expect to see him until after he has shed. Hopefully he will come through ok,, just owndering how in earth I missed it!!

if there is no sign of scale damage just now, then should hopefully be ok.
