Posted - 03/01/2011 : 18:57:37 Hi
My partner has an 18mth old corn, that is having problems shedding. He has been taken to the Vet, who gave him some Arkvits to put in his water to help him shed. He is given a bath with the Arkvits in it at least twice a week, left in water for about 10mins, although the shed comes off, he is still does not appear to shed properly.
He is also not eating, hasn't eaten for about 7wks, we have tried braining the mouse, gone from large mice to pinkie, thinking that might help encourage him to feed, but with no success.
Has anyone got any ideas to help Mango & his not shedding properly & lack of eating please?
Thank you

Posted - 03/01/2011 : 19:43:08 on both counts it may be stress. how long have you had him? was he settled before you started handling him? i find with my girl if i hold her during the shedding cycle she sheds badly also. i would say leave him be for a few days. how often are you trying with the feed? if its every day id leave that for a few days to so he can calm down. 7 wks is quite a while but i'm sure he'l start eating again soon. im not an expert by any means so please don't take this as gosphal, but there are a lot of people on here who are so hopefully you'l get some more advice. good luck and i hope mango starts eating and shedding properly soon! |
