Posted - 03/08/2010 : 08:33:53 My baby Amel is coming up 5 weeks old, and decided for the first time to eat over the weekend, I was thrilled.
Not so thrilled to find a nasty smelly regurged mouse, and my amel crawling up the opposite side of it's tub to get away from it.
(Not surprising with the smell!)
I've checked temps etc, and am wondering if it was just a bit too big for it or something, as it is quite a small snake.
It's belly is all saggy now as well!
I spose at least it tried, one of the amels is still refusing. *rolls eyes* |

Posted - 05/08/2010 : 11:28:15 GP - yup, I already read that post, it was more a specific to baby snake post! Thanks anyhew.
Mike - I asked at the shop for the smallest ones they had for her, we spent 5 mins picking through the bag of pinkies. He doesn't have them in specific sizes though, just 'bag of generic pinkies'. Do you have any newborns you have frozen that I can buy off you? mebbe you can bring them up when you come over?
I'm leaving the amel till the 10th anyway to let the juices settle. (when are you free to come visit?!!) |

Posted - 04/08/2010 : 18:47:27 Might be too big, do you have a rough idea on its size? Generally, I use less than 1 day old pinkies, they are tiny! |
