Posted - 10/09/2011 : 20:17:31 My bff is looking to get a beardie i was just wondering if anyone knows of a place she can get a complete setup (viv, lamp and holder, calcium dust, hide and mabs couple more things) for under £166, i know its pushing a bit, but just seeing what i can do for her :) |

Posted - 12/09/2011 : 15:26:11 I think you're allowed to volunteer at 14 with parents permission but not 100% on that. Have a chat with your parents (I'm assuming they are OK with it already), to see what you can do :) |

Posted - 12/09/2011 : 15:13:19 If shes a big pet person, she should try volunteering/working at a pet rescue or reptile shop or something. That way she gets to be around them and learn about them before she takes on the full responsibility (and to make sure she absolutely positively likes and wants it). Plus it is rewarding :) |

Posted - 12/09/2011 : 14:57:44 If she is changing her mind so much I would personally stick to nothing :P Its all great imagining all these awesome pets but make sure she does the research because its a big responsibility. As she may or may not know - She'll have to handle/feed up live insects with beardies, may be bitten, lots of cleaning and knowledge of the environment they need, be careful with fruits and other feed which can be expensive, know what to look out for and how to check its health etc etc. |

Posted - 11/09/2011 : 00:52:54 Where are u based, My friend has a full set up, 4 ft viv, heat mat, stat, basking light , sticks, small logs, water dishes, everything u need to get started and you won't need anything else, i am from Manchester, I am sure he will sell at that price, he was asking £225 but he should take £166!! He paid about £500 for it all! |
