I don't know if anyone remembers but a few months ago I took on a non-feeding Garter snake for someone, got it feeding and it went back to it's owner.... well he's now contacted me and wants to know if I want to rehome him permanently. We would like to but have a 'no more snakes rule' and don't want to break it, so wondered if anyone else is interested? He ate first time I tried him so don't think he's a real non-feeder. He was eating a worm every 3 days when he was with us.

Here's a few pictures of when we had him:

The lad only wants £10 for him. He's in Barnsley.

Not seen him for a few months, but he was tiny when we had him. I had to make him a custom hide out of a hot chocolate jar lid and it was still big for him
Brookestar Posted - 04/08/2009 : 13:06:08
what size is he btw?

If there is any way possible that this guy could be taken to the Portsmouth show, I would have him.
Dont think my chances are high though :/

garters can be a pain as hatchlings

hmm.. this was on the hognose, while I stayed at my friends house in Canada who has a hoggie and had a garter but he had to release it..

He has a nice temperament too. Hopefully he'll have grown a bit since I last saw him. He was tiny when we looked after him
Brookestar Posted - 02/08/2009 : 14:36:39
got to admit he is a stunning snake
BlueTongueDan Posted - 02/08/2009 : 12:14:30
Aww man, Why does he have to be so far away
Ask him if he fancies a day trip to the sunny Isle of Wight?

Anyway, good luck with the sale
