Posted - 16/01/2012 : 15:21:36 not sure if this is even allowed on here, but thought id give it a try, i need to find a wonderful forever home for my corn snake, hes around 2 and a half, to be honest i dont know much about snakes, lucifer was given to me about a year or so ago and i just followed what i was told on how to care for him, hes orange, very handsome (for a snake) eats well, sheds well, loves to come out of his tank and be handled. Which with a toddler and a newborn, i dont have time to do, i feel so sorry for him as he comes up to the glass n looks out like he wants out! And im sitting holding a baby and cant get him out nearly enough. Its not fair. I wont let him go to any tom **** or harry, i need to feel assured hes going to a good home with good people and wont e sold on or passed around. Please get intouch Thanks Jessica |

Posted - 17/01/2012 : 19:46:55 Jessica, I have agree with Red about putting some sort of price on him to deter freebie hunters. They will just take and sell on and make an easy 40 or 50 quid with no consideration of where he ends up. Even the SSPCA have a home check for suitability plus a rehoming fee of £25/30 for a corn. I know, I have taken in 3.
If he was going to a neighbour, friend or an active forum member with a known reputation then free would be OK. As long as you can keep him cared for a wee while longer (even without handling) don't be in too much of a rush to give him away just because of the 'sad eyes' he's giving you.
Good luck and I hope you find a good home for him soon. |

Posted - 17/01/2012 : 18:46:06 Hmm i just tought on a site like this it would be ok, i havent advertised him anywere else, i thought if someone uses a site like this they must already have snakes and know what they are doing, havent had any interest from here either anyway.

Sorry, how thick am i, we are in tulse hill south london, and im not asking money for him, he comes with his tank with his bits, i cant upload a pic as im on my phone but can send them to email or phones. If anyone knows of a reptile rescue center in south london please let me know as that might be better and easier then finding someone i can trust to take him.
I would personally put a price on him. You are more likey to find a good home for him if you do. Advertising him as free is asking for trouble in my opinion. |
