Posted - 08/06/2011 : 15:14:46 I placed an advert trying to sell my Cali King earlier in the week.
I stated that he was starting to show signs of aggression due to irregular handling, however he has got to the point now where I cannot get him out without him striking.
With this in mind he is free to collector or £50 with a full set up including Vivexotic 3' vivarium, mat, stat, hide, etc.
I have held him loads of times in the past without even a tail rattle and if someone has got the time and confidence to handle him then I'm sure he will make a lovely snake again.

Posted - 22/06/2011 : 12:21:31 Folks I really need to rehome this snake.
Someone must want a potentially lovely snake with £150 of set up for free?

Posted - 17/06/2011 : 16:38:48 Eat themselves? Lol wow! So what would be the suggested snake after a corn if I wanted to get another kind? I have a whole bedroom free now and love to try and extend my knowledge and snake family! |

Posted - 17/06/2011 : 16:04:04 Kings are a lot more active snakes and are known for their alleged feistyness as well as their cannabalism, they wont think twice about trying to eat another snake, or themselves for that matter. They are also very thick. There isn't a huge deal of difference really aside from what I said above. |

Posted - 17/06/2011 : 15:34:35 Guys this is going to sound really silly, but what's the difference between a corn and king snake? I fell in love with my corns and haven't really looked at any other! Any help? Cheers....... And hope he goes to a good home! May just e territorial and once out or changing atmospheres could be better? |

Posted - 17/06/2011 : 14:04:17 I really need to rehome this snake ASAP.
I do not want any money just a good home.
If the full set up is required then a donation towards that would be appreciated.

Posted - 11/06/2011 : 17:33:33 might be an idea to any potential buyers if they do come round to get him to make sure that they are able to get him out of his viv and put him in his travel box/bag themselves.. just so that a) they know what he can be like and b) that they can actually do it my rep shop in nottingham won't let anyone buy a reptile from them if they can't get it out of the viv themselves in the shop which is great |

she strikes at me all the time and rattles her tail, hates coming out, and when its time to go back, hates going back lol
shame your deciding to get rid of him |

Posted - 09/06/2011 : 07:35:51 Mamma - He is now on kingsnake forum. Thanks.
Kehhlyr - Thanks for reply. He was originally for sale as I have started a new job and working anything up to 16 hours a day so have got very little time for my snake collection now. I am just planning to keep 1 Corn Snake.
He is not "a mentalist" and im 100% that he will come round if handled regularly, he is fine when out of the viv, I just haven't got the confidence to get him out when he is striking and rattling etc.
I know what you mean about freeby hunters and I would like him to go to someone experienced. But I've had him advertised at a reasonable price and no takers, i don't want him to sit here being un-handled for much longer.
Thanks

Posted - 09/06/2011 : 01:35:58 Or just keep him, I've got a king that's bat poo mental when I want to get it out. What's it like when it's out??
If it's still a mentalist when it's out have you considered just making it into a display snake, that'll also give you the ability to make a really nice setup etc as well. Regardless of the outcome, please be careful who it goes to, there are so many freeby hunters out there who are more clueless than my missus is when it comes to Spacecraft. There may well be people that could help you calm him down, I certainly would do it if I was nearer to you. Mental kings are my speciality I reckon. |
