Posted - 28/03/2010 : 10:41:28 Just checking that if you bred bloodred x bloodred that i'll end up with bloodred only as its a selectively bred morph?
Do i still need to watch out for hidden hets in these snakes?
thanks again |

Posted - 28/03/2010 : 20:31:37 dh Anery Lav x dh Anery Lav = 1:16 Anery Lavender
Anery het Lav x dh Anery Lav = 1:8 Anery Lavender
Lavender het Anery x dh Anery Lav = 1:8 Anery Lavender
Anery het Lav x Anery het Lav = 1:4 Anery Lavender
Lavender het Anery x Lavender het Anery = 1:4 Anery Lavender
Anery het Lav x Lavender het Anery = 1:4 Anery Lavender
Anery Lavender x dh Anery Lav = 1:4 Anery Lavender
Anery Lavender x Anery het Lav = 1:2 Anery Lavender
Anery Lavender x Lavender het Anery = 1:2 Anery Lavender
Anery Lavender x Anery Lavender = 1:1 Anery Lavender

Not sure if my calculator is broken but i get this:-
Male: Normal het Anery, Lavender
Female: Normal het Anery, Lavender
Phenotype:
18.75% Lavender 66% poss het. Anery 18.75% Anery 66% poss het. Lavender 56.25% Normal 66% poss het. Lavender, Anery 6.25% Anery Lavender ( Anery, Lavender )
Genotype:
6.25% Lavender 6.25% Normal 12.5% Lavender het Anery 6.25% Anery 12.5% Normal het Anery 12.5% Normal het Lavender 12.5% Anery het Lavender 25.0% Normal het Anery, Lavender 6.25% Anery, Lavender
There must be a better way to produce them, fingers crossed her as i want to buy some also. |

You will get bloodreds yes. If both snakes have hets which match you could also end up with them snakes. Such as bloodred het hypo x bloodred het hypo you could end up with something like 50% Bloodred' 25% Hypo, 25% Hypo Bloodred.
nearly... the odds would be 50% bloodred and 50% hypo bloodred ;)
Proper bloodreds are selectively bred diffused corns, and have a near solid deep red colour as adults.
Nearly, you'd end up with:
25% Bloodred 50% Bloodred het Hypo 25% Hypo Bloodred
I'll understand it better one day, practise makes perfect and all that. |
