If you could find out this guys parentage then you may get a clearer picture of what he is. However, I don't believe it to be a Caramel. Looks like a normal, or if you want to spruse the name up a bit, a Carolina.

ì would say normal because i have a normal and when he was a hatchie his orange was just coming through and i thought he was a miami and i had got himm cheap...

the other tell tale is you can see the belly checkers on the left of the picture, so he is 100% not a motley. Hes not a caramel either, not enough yellow there. As for miami, its a bit difficult to tell, young corns dont tend to colour up properly for a while after they hatch, and as miamis tend to be much paler, it can be tricky, although, at the age that one is, it should start to be fairly apparent. I do think its a normal though.

Doubt its a caramel as my caramel has like goldy yellowy colouring on him.

I think you may have a normal.

i wasnt sure on the motley bit i was just comparing the colouring to our sids colours good lookin snake youll have though

a lot of normals are passed off as miamis when they are young - the orange takes a few months to really develop, its only the small patches of orange between the first few saddles that tend to identify a normal from a miami hatchie

lol great minds typing at the same time there sexybear!

Unfortunately normals often get passed off as miami's. This bumps up the price.

Never realy occured to me that it could be normal it's being sold as a miami and looks a lot like the caramel on ians vivarium
SexyBear77 Posted - 27/02/2010 : 22:25:55
Going with Hannah on this one- normal normal
HannahB Posted - 27/02/2010 : 22:23:27
personally he looks like a normal,
its not a motley cause of the lateral patterning
it looks like the orange is just starting to come through on his neck inbetween the brown saddles
