Hawkeyes list of snakes in this section got me thinking. IF you had the room and IF money wasn't and object BUT you could only pick ten....what would be your top ten Corn Morphs?

These are mine (I don't think they're very rare ones, but they're all the ones where I think the adult is as attractive as the hatchling and vice versa);

Classic
Ghost Motley
Gold Dust
Amel
Caramel Stripe
Hypo Lavender Motley
Reverse Okeetee
Anery Phantom
Butter Motley
Mandarin

Hey, just realised I'm an egg. Yay me - no more manky mite (wonder when that happened)

When I got Twilight I didn't know anything about morphs and didn't realise they changed colour as they got older. I'm really hoping as he's so dark he may not change too much although last shed started to show a little bit of brown on his back.

I definitely want #2 to be something which will be REALLY orange as an adult. From the pics on the morph guide it looks like Fire or Hypo Amel - is that right?

I absolutely LOVE the Tessera but have just looked it up and found it's only available to a few select breeders this year and will probably cost around $1000 - $1200! Typical I should fall for something so pricey. Why oh why did you make me look, now I'm all coveting and jealous

Just admit it, eeji: You want at least one corn of each morph and at least one corn of the wild types!

The colours in the picture you posted are not true. See here for truer colour:

think they are becoming more common now as more are reaching breeding age.. would love one as i love the idea of a pure red and white snake or any pied sided morph variation

It's a good plan Hawkeye. I had had something similar in mind with a long term plan involving 2 sets of stackable viv's(I saw Lees 5 stack viv and my mind went into overdrive!).

Now though, the kids are asking about having Beardies, my OH has been reading up on Tree Frogs and it looks like my plan to have eight more snakes over 5 years may not be feasible . Too many reps and not enough room! The wish list remains though and I can squeeze in a couple more over the next couple of years (By hook or by crook I'm getting my Gold Dust next year though!).

Hannah - Pied Sided are really rare aren't they? Has anyone on here got one? (and already having 6 of your faves is just showing off lol )

I chose mine based on the adult look only, because many hatchlings look almost identical but grow into totally different looks. For example, our Shen is most probably a Snow, but someone here thought he's a Strawberry Snow, there is also the remote possibility that he's an Avalanche, and there are a few other morphs that look pretty much like him when they're young. We're waiting for him to grow up so we can find out with absolute certaintly.

Btw, I'm now working from a 10-year plan or something of the sort, thinking that it's best to get them over a period of time and so prevent having to move too many of them to larger vivs all at the same time, and also thinking ahead 20 years from now, I don't want them all to become old and die within a short period of time So I'm thinking: one more hatchling asap. Wait till the first three need to move to larger vivs, start thinking about bringing in the next three babies... and so on. One day, when my kids all grow up and leave and the Hawk takes his own snakes with him, I'm gonna fill this place up with vivs!
