Posted - 09/08/2009 : 14:58:00 this is my 'motley stripe' or 'pinstripe motley' - he's definetly a motley, and only possibly het stripe
only by breeding him will i know if he is het stripe or not - the pattern has nothing to do with it |

Posted - 09/08/2009 : 13:23:42 a stripe motley is just what some people call a motley which has an unbroken or nearly unbroken stripe down its back just like yours they do it to make more money when genetically its just a motley !! most of the decent motley stripes ive seen have been het stripe aswell so you may be lucky ! btw both the snakes are stunning

so wot is a striped motley?

Posted - 06/08/2009 : 21:00:03 yup, its a motley :)
you can tell from the positioning of the striping. A genetic stripe is 4 lines, two on the dorsal and one either side. A striped motley is the motley pattern in the centre of the back that has joined, and the remaining 'stripes' are actually the ground colour. |

Posted - 06/08/2009 : 07:08:38 There is alot of opinions on this i have found. i brought a stripe that is not full and has motley blotches in it like BE circled in your picture. It was sold to me as a stripe, but have been told that it was a 'striped motley' but have also be told that if it was sold to me as a stripe it is just a poor quality stripe.
here is a pic.

(pin)stripe motley is just a wonky motley pattern, and can occur without the corn having the stripe gene. |
