Poor thing... I really hope those eyes don't bother him too much, but I can hardly imagine how that wouldn't be painful :(

If I had the room and money to set up a viv for him, I would. Unfortunately, I don't

Eeugh. That's just too weird for me...

I'm guessing Leucistic texas Rat as they are known for being bug eyed since Texas rats have quite large eyes anyway. When the Leucistic gene is brought in it can affect them so much that they become bug eyed.

Um, are you sure it is meant to look like that? It looks like it has a serious eye condition and should be got to a vet straight away. (Not joking here - totally serious)

Hmm, have googled bug eyed snakes and there are some that look like that - but at least they still have dark pupils etc - that just looks so wrong and, quite frankly, painful :(

*shudders* seen some of those before, they're just hideous...
Razee Posted - 30/06/2013 : 15:53:54
Ooooh, is that a leucistic rat snake? :-0 They are known to have a " bug eyed " variety... I've heard some breeders consider it a fault, some are breeding for it.... Very unusual with those colour flecks, just like palmettos!

Is that your new addition?
