Posted - 13/04/2013 : 14:00:47 Most morphs are recessive genes, so both parents need to be carrying a copy of the gene for that particular morph to show up in any babies. A het is basically one of those genes being carried, but not shown visually (if that makes any sense!) So a het amel is visually normal, but bred to a visual amel or het amel can produce visual amels
The only way to find out I believe is to breed and prove them out, or know what the parents are. Both of your littles ones parents are normal you say, so I dont think he'd have any 100% hets |
