The shop I got him from said he was a sunglow, is that right?

He might turn out to be a sunglow. If he is only a yearling, then he is still growing, so his colour will develop more.

There is still a bit of white down the far end of his body, but that might go as he gets older.

He's got level deep colours! Very ruby red in parts! Not a sunglow though, as has been said, due to a bit of white. However a brilliant example in and of himself! :)

I'm no good at morphs at all so take what I say as purely a guess.
The picture of him when you first got him looks like he's an amel.
Had he just shed in the first photo's? That would make him look bright...
Reptile shops will hipe up morphs if they think they can get away with it to get more money!
Whatever he is I love his colour and markings, he's stunning.

Could be. A sunglow is a selectively bred amel which has very little white and very bright colours so it is a little open to interpretation He does look very bright, but he does have a bit more white than I would expect on a sunglow.
