so i'm going to see this snake soon. i'm not convinced it's a sunglow motley though! i am def no expert, however shouldn't it be more orange and have pinkish eyes?
i'm not fussed, if i like him i'll be taking him just wondering what others thoughts were. |

Posted - 22/08/2012 : 23:42:58 yes,I think this is either down to being inexperienced or possibly why he is slightly more expensive than most adult corn snakes! I am very keen on him though. thanks everyone. I def won't b breeding from him.....however if I change my mind in the future,I would of course advertise correctly |

Posted - 22/08/2012 : 23:08:11 Getting a hybrid is down to personal choice, whether you like him or not. The husbandry will be the same as a corn. If you decide to breed then just make it clear to buyers that the hatchlings are hybrids. |

Posted - 22/08/2012 : 23:04:59 black eyes = no amel in there so can't be sunglow or butter. I also lol'd at "a beautiful example of this rarer morph". Most amel motleys could be described as sunglow motley because motley generally reduces (often to the point of removing) any saddle outline so most definitely not anything rare. |

Posted - 22/08/2012 : 22:32:09 yeah think I'm sticking with golddust motley! I shouldn't be worried that he's a hybrid right? I know a little about the whole corn snakes are rat snakes, but not much. from what I can gather he's a cross between a corn snake (red rat snake) and grey rat snake? or something lol. but no different if I got a corn snake?? |

Posted - 22/08/2012 : 20:02:38 Think Dan nailed this one- definitely not butter and certainly not a sunglow. Either Amber Motley (Definitely got caramel, but doesn't look Caramot) or Golddust Motley. |

Posted - 22/08/2012 : 19:14:03 When I first saw it I thought maybe a hybrid. There's just something about it's neck area that seems a bit off, but also his pattern looks odd as well. He is very very good looking however, but I'm going to agree with a gold dust http://iansvivarium.com/morphs/species/hybrids/gold_dust/?sid=1dc709131b02523248798763f0ab4324
Definitely no amel in it. |

Posted - 22/08/2012 : 18:58:12 Yep butters have pink pupils. I'm thinking either a gold dust motley or amber motley. |

Posted - 22/08/2012 : 17:50:11 A sunglow is a selectively bred Amel, so yes, it should have pinkish eyes. I don't think he looks like a sunglow but I'm not very experienced with morphs yet so I wouldn't like to guess what he is. |
