Hi everyone. I was wondering if I could get your opinion on what morph you think my hatchling could be please :)

Here is the Lavender I picked up at Kempton.

And the pic sent by the breeder a month before.

This snake was hatched 16-6-12.

i reckon he's what you think he is despite what everyone else says ;)
NexivRed Posted - 18/08/2012 : 20:19:04
They could have. But the parents are not carolinas, and looking at the corn calc it seems impossible for him to be anything other than what the parents are, or a morph with that as part of the recipe.

This one is such a puzzle and I'm just worried whether I'm gonna be able to keep him or not. He's such a little dude <3

Not necessarily, could the parents not have had some unknown hets?

:(

Well the issue I sadly have is if isn't from the pairing I was told he was (which is what people are saying), then that means he's not carrying the morph and two hets I bought him for. So I'm not necessarily going to be able to keep him. Currently I'm only allowed (and able to afford) two snakes, and I got him to breed with my female in a couple of years.

I'm quite inexperienced with corn morphs but maybe it will be easier to tell when he grows up a bit and has shed a few more times. You might get a different response when he is a bit older if his colour changes a bit.
NexivRed Posted - 17/08/2012 : 21:06:46
Almost. I thought I knew what he was but whether those can be his parents is what's come under question. So ian advised I get lots of opinions without saying anything else so it's unbiased.
Isoldael Posted - 17/08/2012 : 21:02:30
So this is more like a puzzle and you already know what he is? :p
NexivRed Posted - 17/08/2012 : 20:47:40
I've met both the parents and had their morphs confirmed by Ian. (Hope he doesn't mind me saying that.)
Isoldael Posted - 17/08/2012 : 20:05:09
Could he be an ultramel of some sort? I heard they often have blue eyes too. Do you know if both of the parents are corns?
Moppet Posted - 17/08/2012 : 19:52:12
He has beautiful blue eyes. Very striking
Isoldael Posted - 17/08/2012 : 19:23:31
Isn't he waaaay too red to be a lavendar?
Moppet Posted - 17/08/2012 : 18:34:02
I thought he was a lavender? Whatever he is, he's beautiful!
Donnie Posted - 17/08/2012 : 15:24:10
I don't know what morph he is, all I know is he is stunning
danny Posted - 17/08/2012 : 14:45:45
Looks similar to a breed of miami
manda88 Posted - 17/08/2012 : 12:33:06
I'm afraid I'm going to have to disagree with what everyone else has said and say that I reckon he's a lavender, he reminds me of how one of my boys was as a hatchie, yours is much brighter and pinker though! Mine has the same blue eyes.

Yours doesn't look like a hypo to me, I know lots of other people have said it, but I don't see it when comparing to other hypos I've seen. I think he's just a lovely lavender!
NexivRed Posted - 17/08/2012 : 11:05:44
Sorry, here's some more pics :) He's in blue atm and unhappy at being held, so I'll wait till he's shed and then take some video.

Isoldael Posted - 17/08/2012 : 10:26:23
Many of my normals have "motley dots" like those as well. I'm not sure, but I think I can see some darker spots on the belly in that last pic though :)
Jenn Posted - 17/08/2012 : 05:23:33
Motley dots??? I can see hypo with lack of black but a belly shot is what kinda confirms that ( or at least was told with my girl). I say Phhhhttttt Beauty either way whatever he/she may be!!
