Posted - 15/06/2012 : 19:19:58 My Butter Corn Snake, Cereus, was sold to me by my uncle as an American Butter Corn which I've never heard of... Yes he's my uncle but I know sometimes he can be wrong with his morphs...
So, is he a Butter Corn or something else like a Snow? Or is he a Butter with a visible het? I don't know! The only thing getting me is how pale his body is, his head is nice and yellow but his body is practically white with blotches of yellow.
Picture time!!! Head to show how yellow it is.
Body to show the difference between head and body.
Belly/Ventral.

Posted - 16/06/2012 : 02:12:49 Ok thank you, I didn't want to have payed £100 for him and his viv for him to actually be a snow corn or something as that would crush my heart. Been looking for a butter for ages and now I've got him :)
Just pleased that he is actually a butter. |

Posted - 15/06/2012 : 21:22:37 How d'you tell between a butter and a yellowish snow?
I handled a snow at my pet shop today, he got it out and i said oo is it a butter? and he said no its a snow.. So i dont get how you tell the difference when they look very similar.
I see that there is a little bit of orange in Cereus.. is that how you tell? |
