i think i remember reading that amels normally have checks. my male has got these how ever my female amel is as clear as my motley and my stripe. is this a sign that she may have a hidden gene.

I was hoping you'd come along eeji :D

theres a few possibles, one is Fire although there is no lateral diffusion as expected, so maybe het diffused? Breeding trials would sort that one out. Another possibility is she is descended from keys stock which can have very little belly pattern.

Would she be considered a true fire though? She seems to have a lot more white on her than they usually have, not to mention being yellow and orangey as opposed to red? I dunno how it works xD
mkmattyk Posted - 03/04/2012 : 13:46:41
yeah it looks like she is a fire(amel/diffused) which is common in diffused corns

I've had a look at ur sig and i'd say possibly fire?

I have the same sort of problem :/ I was told my corn Noodle was an amel but his belly is white with the same sort of speckles as yours... I will post pics later if you want?
