Hi Guys, we've just got a lovely new butter corn, (sorry I can't post pics but wanted to let him settle for a week in his new viv without stressing him). He's 6 months old, and the first inch from his head towards his tail is pure stripe markings, but then moves into a more standard patterning. He does have some small markings on his ventral side so I don't think he's a motley. I've never seen a picture of a corn that has a stripe on the head end and then standard pattern on the rest. On the box that we received him from the supplier, it says, 'Reference A8, Morph Butter Het Stripe'. Does this mean he is a mix of 'standard' butter and butter stripe? Does he have the stripe gene in him? I would appreciate your thoughts, thank you!  |

it means one of the parents was a stripe, He does have the stripe gene in him in het form which means is only a single copy so not visual |
