Posted - 29/06/2011 : 21:39:42 That is good news. The first feeds are always the scary ones. Lavenders are one of my favourite morphs and you have 2 gorgeous ones |

Posted - 29/06/2011 : 18:18:40 Right get what you mean now I think it is what you say just fed enough as some hatchling pics and he does look a little on the thin side but don't think I will have any problems feeding him as he ate last night as if he was starving and the little girl was the same so im pleased there is no problems there Thank you for all the help and nice comments about my little ones |

They are both gorgeous. The female looks just like my male.
Your male does look really small and he is rather like a hatchling. It may just be the photos but he looks a little triangular shaped as well. I would feed every 5 days as you would a hatchling. Did you get feeding records?
Nope he just said they are fed every Sunday when I asked when they where last fed...he is very long and is in my boyfriends hand and his hands are big lol I looked at a pic of blue on his hand when he was a week or 2 old and they look the same in size I have pics of him on here...what do you mean a little triangular shaped?? does this mean as in looks not long out of the egg
They look more triangular shape if they are underweight. Is he pointy on top or more rounded? As I said it could just be the light in the photo as quite often it can make them look underweight. It's possible that he has just been fed enough to keep him alive which is what some breeders do to save a bit of money. Now you have him home, you can get him into a regular feeding pattern and I'm sure he will be growing well in no time |

Posted - 28/06/2011 : 22:06:49 I have a supposedly June 2010 Amel, that when i got her in March at 8/9 months old weighed in at 21g, with 5 day feeding, she has doubled that weight and has shed 3 times, am keeping an eye she doesn't become a slug and pile too much weight mind :-) very pretty lavenders.. |

Yeah i know he is Motley as I have a sunglow motley, Its just that he is as tiny as my now 2 year old corn when he was just a hatchling and is very translucent, more concerned over his age and what length of time I should be feeding at, whether I go every 4 days or keep it every 7 as I would normally with the older ones, because the breeder told me he was 6/7 months old, Just dont want to over feed or under feed if you get what I mean |
