Posted - 20/04/2011 : 12:36:24 Its my understanding that Partius balunicus dont like rodents they usually go hand in hand with foods like coktail sausagus and another favourite of the partius is the pig in blanket, whick is similar to the coktail sausagus but has just been jacketed. Lee put a thread up here somewhere to show how to do it.
But dont try to force feed it, it will probably spit it out (quite a distance) when you let the foods go

Posted - 19/04/2011 : 07:57:36 i thought the lack of viv doors might be an issue but it's still there this morning, as i've got away with it for one night i'm sure it'll be fine like that for the rest of it's life, afterall, my mate's sisters best friends boyfriends brother apparently keeps his like that too
i'll have to scour t'interweb for anther...........when i know what sex this one is, do you think somebody could pop it for me or is that too risky?? |

Posted - 18/04/2011 : 23:22:00 I would also look at the housing a bit more as well, without the doors on that viv it'll escape in no time. You should've got a pair, I bet the hatchies look amazing. |

OMG! I'm going to tell the ReptilePolice that you're keeping that poor snake in a viv that is obviously way too small for it!
To clear things up the snake you have is Partius balunicus and is quite a rare find in the pet trade, and to find a patternless morph you must have paid a fortune! :)
ahh, the latin name, always clears up any confusion with species but what's the morph? is fluorescent bloodred fire sunglow accurate? or is it simply a white-less RO??
and as for the viv, using the 'length + depth = length of snake' guide it's actually quite a reasonable size though it's difficult to tell in the pics there IS a distinct possibility it could get stuck in the sexy corkbark tube though

Looks like it could do with a trip to the vets as well. It's got a strange growth on its nose
yes, the hide is snug.......obviously need to upgrade to an XL E-T hide....or a cornflakes packet
and growth?? that's it's tongue!! |
