Posted - 22/06/2010 : 18:49:07 Wow that's amazing or an amazing photoshop job :p I wonder why anerys loose the blackness after a while.
I'd get a MBK though >>; probably less pricey than specially bread corns :p |

Posted - 22/06/2010 : 18:15:33 thats what can be achieved with selective breeding :) I believe its taken many years to get that blackness to stay present in maturity. |

Really??!! Trust me to get it wrong ....but just looked again and it still doesnt look like an adult to me, but I guess there is nothing to show its size (more likely it is just my brain fog messing me up again ).
Well, it is an amazing adult....I would be proud to own a snake like that!

Rather than a corn, would he not get an MBK, they're completely black.
....or a black ratsnake (Elaphe obsoleta obsoleta) - not as solid black as a mexi king but a lot blacker than the blackest corn :) |

Posted - 18/06/2010 : 23:23:57 the blackest corn you will get is anerythristic: http://iansvivarium.com/morphguide/anerya/
most lighten up as they get older, but some through selective breeding will stay dark. Lexcorn has some fantastic dark aneries, but her website is down atm so I can't link to pics :( |
