I was jusst wondering how long it will be before my yearling carolina starts to change colour as he is still grey n brown i have just had a new hatchling granite but it has hardly any side patterns and a white belly on ians they only have a hatchling shot are all granite white bellied .

Just had a quick peek at the little one its has nice saddles on top but as soon as you look at the sides it just fades to little like pixals just shades of grey can't wait ti get some pictures

i'd have thought a yearling would already have a nice amount of orange but they're all different. You should see him at his best looking between 2 and 3 years old.

All granites have a plain belly, its one of the traits of the diffused gene (granite = anery + diffused) as is the side pattern - the more pattern missing, the better :)
