Ian, before you lost most of your hair.. where you ever ginger???
i've definetly never been a ginger, and (no offence to the red headed population) but I'd rather be a baldy!
.......and I still have hair, its just cut short! |

Posted - 05/05/2010 : 20:22:41 Lmao how rude? I guess you've seen the Mr.Ian then :o
Hybrid corns with other rat snakes are fine (well to me since I have always been taught corns are rat snakes) as long as the housing requirements aren't too different. I just don't really agree with the corn and king cross :/ |

Posted - 05/05/2010 : 18:13:13 maybe, i've not seen the result of this cross, but they'd still be hybrids. |

Posted - 04/05/2010 : 20:40:46 Really? I imagined a bight orange cirn with a yellow belly and faded saddles. :/ |

Posted - 04/05/2010 : 20:20:43 its possible, but you'd just end up with mutts |

I bit off topic but is it possible to cross these snakes with corn snakes? I'm kinda presuming that if not all, then most rat snakes can be bred with corns. |

They are very beautiful :3 Are the young ones that bright orange as well?
they're a dull brown as babies with the same saddle pattern as a cornsnake, then as they mature the colour comes out and the saddles turn to stripes.
this is the female as a hatchie:

There bellies look pretty cool.
Do they grow to a similar size as corns or do they get a little bigger?
they'll be roughly the same size. They feel a little stronger than a corn and have a reputation for grumpiness but these two are little angels and have grown out of the bitiness despite not being handled much :)
