Posted - 09/08/2014 : 18:09:52 Hey guys!
Furia is a year old now, and I wanted to share with you some before & after pictures to show you her progression. When I brought her home she weighed 19gr and measured 53cm; now she's 194gr and 114cm long! I am also proud to say that she tamed out to be a little angel now, with a lot of handling and perseverance :)
When I first got her:

Posted - 10/08/2014 : 11:43:50 I'm not afraid of him and I do drag him out frequently. His bites don't really hurt, kisses really, it's just upsetting that I can't enjoy him the same as my others because he's so afraid. I never see him out in his viv, as soon as someone is in the room he hides away, and when I get him out all he does is try to escape or strangle me. I'm starting to wonder if there was a reason he ended up in the garden centre, for sale so cheaply. Or maybe his previous owners roughed him about and now he's scared? I don't know, I'm not giving up on him yet lol |

@Silver Wings - The thing is that I bought her as a hatchling, but if I remember correctly you got your Tai a little grown up already? That might be the cause he's not taming down...
I wrote a post about what I did to tame my Bluey, it may interest you... Though I believe most of the things you'll know already and will have already tried.

What I would do would be to handle Aleron as often as possible, with gloves if necessary. I would probably implement a daily routine, 5 - 10 minutes every time for a couple of months. I know it sounds like a nightmare to face him so often, but I really believe he would lear about it and change his mental patterns... But again, maybe you're already doing this?
Best of luck! |
