I did try that, little git wouldnt go near it
and ouch! i have had 4 ferrets over the years, 3 never bit at all once taught not to as i got 3 as kits, my hands were a mess for weeks!
I had to rehome Ice as a working ferret, he would bite too hard, his new owner wanted the rest as never had a working ferret follow at his heels or come when called, he had no chance getting the rest!

Saw the videos of the ferret too, makes me really miss mine!

They are such great characters, Had others before Peanut, i really miss mine too, except when they get themselves in to trouble lol

I had three girls and they were so much fun even if they were naughty lol. Well 2 pure ferrets and 1 polecat/ferret mix. Loved watching them duke with each other. Scully (my white) was a bothersome one as well- too thin and nothing fattened her up and her tail balded at one point as well.

Snakes are almost as good escape artists as ferrets but the ferrets have the advantage with the paws to help.

Isnt 35 too high? I thought 30 was the temp that was aimed for in the warm end.

Still tiny then,it's how the males can be.do you take him out to feed?
scottishbluebird Posted - 17/03/2014 : 17:02:10
He will only eat scented, fussy little git! he gets weighed 26th of each month, last month was 21g, was 9g when i got him.
temp between 32/35. he will be a yr end of May

Is that not too much? i thought it was every 4/5 days
If i feed him every 3 days, the dogs will be happy as they get the egg after pinkie been dipped
My male goes off feed for many months each year,I've never bothered Scenting anything.do you always have to scent? If you don't,wouldn't he eat it? what's he weigh?and how hot to you keep him?

I fed my male every three days when young,Until he got bigger etc.then moved the meal sizes and days up.You want to keep the meal sizes small,ie not feeding large mice every three days.smaller sizes but more often.
