Now that the weather has got a lot colder the ambient temp in Arti's viv had dropped so the ceramic was on non-stop and still not making the grade! We upped to a higher wattage lamp today and got her out for a pic whilst the smell was wearing off!

And back in her now toasty warm viv

Carpets are always hard to find out the genetics unless you know from the breeder, all you can say is you have a stunning carpet

Awww thanks Donnie

Think we may just go for the 250W to be honest - rather have one that is used less than one than struggles and has to be on all the time. Got to sort the viv out first though lol.

Thanks all :D

Donnie, she is in a 2ft but it's a VX so high and deep as well. It was fine, but she's in the lounge which is unheated during the day except at weekends, and gets really cold. We had a 60W but changed to a 100W.

OH is probably going to be getting a new viv for her for Christmas... thinking of a 4x2x3ft (3 high, hoping that will do as a forever home!) so goodness knows how we'll keep that warm enough!!!!

A few people 'elsewhere' have said she doesn't look coastal which is what we were originally told she was. I know her head marking looks jungle so that's in there somewhere and she is fairly yellowy (not like yours obviously lol). A couple of people have also said she looks more like an IJ than coastal - and that would explain her small size... but then she has more than doubled in weight since we got her just 5-6 months ago, and we're pretty certain she was underfed before - not that she was skinny, just not as big as you would expect for a supposedly 2yr old carpet. So it's just a waiting game to find out how big she ends up lol.
