I think it was about 3 yrs ago we went to an owl sanctuary for a day out and whilst there they had a visiting 'petting ark' where we got to hold corn snakes for the very first time (which of course was what eventually led to us getting Corno).

Today we went back, not especially to see the snakes as we were expecting just corns, but got a lovely surprise with their somewhat larger collection (and I was amazed at the difference in size of different milk snakes!)!!

Hubby was rather taken with this Honduran milk snake:

While our son thought this Mexican one was sweeter:

And I held the Pueblan so as not to be left out

There were also stick insects...

and some cute little leopard geckos

Plus quite a lot more I don't have good pics of - beardies, a blue tongue skink (which feel REALLY weird lol), millipedes, GALs - oh and loads of corns which I was less interested in Oh, and there were bunnies and guinea pigs as well.... but I wasn't bothered about those either rofl

Plus of course cannot forget this gorgeous BABY eagle owl

and some super cute meerkats

Superb photos, especially that owl!
I love the little meerkats expressions in the first shot of them, looks like they're having an argument!!

Some great photos from a what sounds to be an awasome day out.
That photo of the owl is stunning - it is quite hard to get decent shots of flying birds, usually end up with out of focus or not all of the bird in the frame.
Love the meercats

Looks like a great day. Fab pics I love blue tongue skinks, they had one at college which was such a character. He would hiss and make a big deal but when you actually touched him or got him out he decided he didn't really mind after all haha.

Lol Scaly - they didn't have their eyes shut in all of them, but those were my favourite pics ;) It was fairly warm in there though :O

I forgot to say - OH got roped in to helping them, as a couple of their intended helpers had gone off to meet the meerkats, and it was really busy. We had been discussing snakes with them and we'd been playing with them so they knew we knew what we were doing. So while I was stuck with our kids cuddling the bunnies and guineas, hubby got to help a bunch of other kids meet some royals (forgot to mention them as well )
