So here are my other scaley's My fish! I have a 2.5ft tank, around about 80 litres. I don't have pictures of everything because some of them are just too shy for pictures. I tried to get most of them though.
In the tank there are;
6x Guppies - 3 male, 3 Female. I did have more females but old age got to them. All three females are homebred and one of the males is homebred. The other two males are shop bought.

3x Shadow Catfish - 1 male, 2 females.

1x male platy.

4x Sparkling Gourami - Had 7 but 2 randomly disappeared(no idea why, they were healthy) and then 1 of them was attacked by my next fish in this list.

2x Gold Rams - 1 male, 1 female. Breeding pair, aggressive when protecting their eggs.

3x Threadfin Rainbowfish - Had 6 but these are one of those fish that can be finicky and they seem to have declined over the last 5 months. The 3 I have left look healthy but I plan to get some more to keep them happy as they should ideally be in groups.

1x Rubber Lip Pleco - Shy fish, only got a picture of him hiding under a rock lol.

Anyway, pictures!! The tank isn't looking it's best right now as I've been suffering with Hair Algae issues which I had literally just sorted out and now they are back again.

Guppies - Not the best pictures as they are hyperactive fish lol.
Homebred Females.

Homebred Male.

Shop Bought Males.

Shadow Catfish - Some of these are slightly older pictures.

Male Platy - This photo has my other male platy in too that I no longer have.

Sparkling Gourami.

Gold Rams.
Male.

Female.

Threadfin Rainbowfish.

Never again will I get a picture this good! This is the only picture I am sharing, the rest are hideous because these fish never stop moving!

Rubber Lip Pleco.

My little Shy guy, the Rubber Lip Pleco

Hope you liked them

I have my little Rubber Lip and he's out most of the night cleaning the algae, it just grows too quickly for him.
Was going to get some Java Moss mjpeters lol.

Java moss is great for helping algae control-it just drinks up the nitratesgreat fishy pics

I love my planted tank but it does make seeing my fish quite difficult
I got myself a bristlenose to keep my algae under control, seems to have worked so far

I'd prefer my tank to be overgrown I have a tank picture here but it looks horrible. I'll show you what it looks like now and before the algae outbreak.

Before.

Now.

Thanks!
I'm surprised I've still got the rams alive. They are another kind of finicky fish. You could have the perfect water conditions and they'd breed and then die... Mine have bred but ate the eggs(first time breeding) and are still here I'm happy lol.

Haha, those male Bettas really would make a striking display on their own wouldn't they. Maybe another year, working on something else at the mo.

Moppet:
I know I had 6 that my partner bought for me in February for Valentines Day because I wanted some and in the course of the last few weeks to a month(I've had them 5 months) they've suddenly dropped to 3. Such a shame.

Lupi Lou:
Thanks They are cute.

Herriotfan:
Time, patience and about 1000 bad photo's just to get one good one XD Oh and my Fujifilm camera lol.
herriotfan Posted - 10/07/2013 : 19:42:09
Wow, how on earth did you get such great shots of fish!
Very nice collection.

Cool fish, I like the little cat fish
Moppet Posted - 10/07/2013 : 18:33:01
They're lovely. I've got some threadfins as well and I have found them to be a bit tricky too. I had five for nearly 8 months with no problems then something must have got to them (water parameters were fine, no idea what happened) and suddenly only had three They're so much fun to watch with their fin splaying displays
