Little Hermes is sooo tiny after my pic of Corno earlier lol! He's really coming on now - moved up to double pinks last feed - and actually did a mini coil of his first one!! (sorry - no pics of that shame as well, his first coil) He is a massive.. wait for it... 22g

And about time we had some fresh Hogster pics - look away now Chris and Donnie He shed the other day, and although you can't see it on the pics, has some lovely background greeny tinges showing up now which I only discovered yesterday is normal for hoggies (I thought the green phases were a morph but they are actually from selective breeding).

He had been sitting happily on hubby's hand like this for about 10 mins before we took him out to get a pic!

I think he is about the same length as Hermes, probably slightly shorter... but over double his weight at 56g lol

And showing his shiny black tum!

Hermes is just so cute and you can see the patterning down his neck on the top and bottom photos.
I doubt you have been underfeeding, as I said on my post the pinks I am feeding Hoggle are virtually newborns and are teeny, also that was the first time I had fed two.
Sorry to hear Prism is still being a little madam regards her feeding, Orinoco can be quite picky, Tobago usually strikes these days and is considerably bigger than Orinoco - not the feeding responses I was led to believe rainbows had.

Hope you find your dotted Acidic

Here are some more pics of Hermes - on the third one you can just make out the patterning down his neck, which is really difficult to see a lot of the time.

Arrrgh, I'm feeling bad now - Blackcat has moved hers up to doubles already as well think I may have been underfeeding him? Things is though, the singles were still leaving a bump, and I know it's very easy to overfeed housies as they are such piggies, so wanted to keep things careful.

Blackcat, sorry, Hermes just wasn't quite so co-operative in the photo shoot lol, I'll see what others we got! Prism... hmmm, well she has been growing, but only because we resorted to assist feeding again. We have now decided to try leaving her again as she is a good size... so of course she hasn't eaten for a while just really hoping that one day she will decide she is actually hungry enough to eat on her own

Coal, good luck getting your hoggie next year, they really are fascinating little critters. Hogster does a good cobra impression, then you pick him up and his little head just deflates in a kind of 'Why aren't you scared? Oh, it's you, well OK then' sort of way. I would find it hard choosing between the 2 though, I'm so glad we have both!

Red - they have been reduced from £50 to £45 because they have been there a while... pooooooor things. You could fit one in a tiny little corner, not like a big green burm... runs before Red throws something >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I've wanted a Housie and a Hoggy longer than a KSB so the KSB can wait The Hoggy and the Housie are still a tie XD

I also want an olive housie, and also an MBK... Yeah I have really gotten into this whole snake-keeping thing XD I have actual plans to get a hoggie next year though as I have room for one more viv, the other two are distant dreams for when I have a larger house :P

I want a Dotted House Snake

I like MBK's but not sure if I'd have one. Might get a Black Rat Snake at some point, used to love my uncles Black Rat Snake Se'th.

Lovely photos - but why only one of Hermes, Housies rule over Hoggies
Waiting patiently for the photos of Prism, she must be growing nicely now.

Now don't start that Smart bunny, you know I need very little persuasion to add to my collection.

Aww I don't know which one I want more and I can only have one... I am trying to choose between Hoggy, KSB and Housie but so far - No luck I think I've narrowed it down to between Hoggy and Housie and I love Hoggy noses so it may end up being Hoggy but so far I still want all three so badly.

Brilliant pics and gorgeous snakey's!
Coal Posted - 10/07/2013 : 12:00:49

Thanks everyone - Lee, everyone needs a hoggie!!! We now need a second

Red - a little shop we both know (Kim) has some housies - looks like there's a gap in your sig that needs filling (and they're cheaper than Hermes was, doh!).

Sorry Donnie, Artemis didn't make the photo shoot yesterday, will have to be next week Not got any fresh ones of Prism either, I'll see if we can get both done next week.
