I found this little guy while taking a stroll in Crom, Co Fermanagh.

I've never seen a spider like it so took a few pics




I popped it back where I found it and now I'm looking to identify it.

Well spotted, I'd have missed that altogether as a spider. I looked it up and the common name is Stretch Spider, appropriately enough.

I like how you saw it and thought 'hmm I wonder what type of spider this is?' and took a photo my response would have been: ' argh spider!' and ran away then thought hmm that looks a bit different

That's the one I was thinking of! I knew it was similar to a Golden Orb Spider but when I searched them I was like "Wait... No, I got the wrong name..." but yeah, this is it in a defensive/alarmed position lol.

Looks like a Golden Orb Weaver to me Though I could be wrong.
