I thought it was because they were often found in houses in Africa but I don't know if that is true or not.
makes sense-i guess meaning they are o.k. to have in the house
I'd heard that was the reason too.
Scary, do not resist. Get one!!!!! |

Posted - 26/06/2013 : 21:37:20 They is lovelyany idea how they got the name 'house snake'? We have rely's in the States that tell us corn snakes are still sometimes refered to as'Right snakes'because they are the right snakes to have around you farm/barn for rodent control |

They are so pretty. Do house snakes have the same husbandry as corns? Are there much differences? Im curious :)
I keep mine pretty much the same as corns, though around shedding time they seem to appreciate a wee bit more humidity (Bruno especially) They are proper lovely little things!

Posted - 23/06/2013 : 21:21:50 I went back to the Olive House Snake guy about 6 times, kept looking and trying to talk myself into getting one, £30 each or 3 for £75 bargain! I didn't see any others though, must have missed them too. Yours are very nice indeed. |
