Wey hey -I only just caught up with this thread - congrats Moppet, you must be so excited, the olive colour is the best ( and maybe some T+ albinos ). Looking forward to the pics.... only matter of hours now! :-)

Tomorrow

Got a heat cable set up for them, statted and stable temp. Is 29-30 degrees ok? It's what I read on most of the research I did but just thought I'd check So excited

Soon to be the proud owner of two little olive wormies I still blame figs and mort for showing me just how gorgeous their housies are

OMG Moppet, I cannot believe you resisted, I am SO impressed! I think you are mad, but am still impressed at your strength of willpower lol :P

Thanks

Regretting it now though. I could have had a housie of my own right now...

My word Moppet, how did you manage to resist!!!
Great excuse to treat yourself to 3 though in the future

I think it was knowing I wasn't really ready for one (no mat ready set up to correct temps, no pinkies in the house etc) that did it. That and I wanted to do a little more research into care. Only just though! I was sooooo close to walking away with a lovely little male.

On the plus side OH seems to be feeling rather mellow about the whole idea. When I asked how he felt about me getting two housie hatchies (after explaining size etc) he said, and I quote, "Meh". I then asked "That's not a no?" And he said very clearly "It isn't a no. I'm kind of resigned to it now." That's as close as I'll ever get to permission...

Now, to wait until September or to nip down to Nottingham...

I love their eyes too, so bright and so different from corns. I also love the white bellies, the contrast between that and the olive colour is just gorgeous. And I love the shine...the size...their little faces...the eye stripes...in fact, pretty much everything! So gorgeous!

Haha Moppet, I get the feeling this is going to be a very long 3 months, if you make it that long.

Cheers Hissy!

I love how bright the eyes are compared to the colour of the skin, B-E-A-U-TIFUL
Moppet Posted - 23/06/2013 : 20:52:34
I did find some but I was very VERY restrained and somehow resisted them. There were some GORGEOUS True Olive housie hatchies (which are my fave!!). Fell in love with a teeny tiny male with a perfect white stripe over his eyes but then remembered that I have to put all four of my 2012 corns up to their 3ft adult vivs in the next few months and I will be busy with my corn eggs which will hopefully hatch the end of July...

I'm really gutted now that I did manage to resist but I know it was a sensible decision really. The guy selling them seemed good and he only lives in Nottingham so when things are a bit less mental in the Moppet household I may nip down and buy a trio...

Thanks for all the amazing comments She certainly is a little stunner, and a very nosey girl too. Always up at the front of her RUB checking out whats going on.

Moppet - Did you find any housies?

That's a beautiful house snake and looks in amazing condition, so shiny it looks like you polished it or covered in baby oil.
