Posted - 29/05/2013 : 18:47:53 Lucky I spotted it and moved it before I dug over the soil! I think it is a baby newt? It was about 2cm long, I put it in the long grass next to my pond, I hope it survives. And I wonder if that means there are big ones in the pond?

I hope so! I'm quite surprised that anything is alive in there to be honest, it is pretty small too, only about 1x2m, is that big enough to support newts? I don't know how they would of got there in the first place either, I live in a town! |
