Posted - 24/05/2013 : 20:29:37 Here is me in the late 80's or very early 90's at the Isle of Wight zoo, guess i was always going to end up with a snake one day!
My Dad just scanned in the photo and sent it to me. Sorry about the quality!
Being fairly new to snakes I'm not even sure what I was holding, is it a boa? |

Posted - 24/05/2013 : 22:15:09 That snakey looks uncannily like one of the two I donated to Jack Corney at Isle of Wight Zoo at that time!! one of them had the '!'shaped mark (dot then dash)on the head. The Zoo would also collect venom from its poisonous snakes for anti-venom. Jack Corney was in the Guiness book of records at one point for surviving the most number of snake bites. The Zoo also used to walk tiger cubs along sandown beach in the winter Luckily we were never up that early in the day! |
