Posted - 11/03/2013 : 23:56:28 Hi, good news everyone! Prepare for cuteness overload.
Ive been working on a Crestie breeding project...
and look what I found in the incubator today...
Im guessing with the morphs, what do ya reckon? Parents were a Harlequin and a Flame.
Name tba - Morph flame?
Name tba - Morph pinstripe/partial pinstripe (I hope)?
Both seem well and couple more eggs in the incubator possibly from the other female. Adults are well, Might split them up and cool them now, don't want to be overrun.
Thanks for looking.

Posted - 13/03/2013 : 20:55:25 Honestly I thought that before. But after researching it there's literally 0.000000000001 percent chance if anything happen. They may argue but won't drop tails x |

Posted - 13/03/2013 : 10:51:14 My two females live happily with their tails. And most people on the fb group who who keeps females together all have there tails. For the year I've been on the group I have only seen 2 drop there tails. One was made to drop it because it had floppy tail and it would twist its hips if it kept its tail. And the other was becaus a woman had and unstated mat on the side of her viv and it cause too much stress. It's normally when it's male and female that they do not get on. I have seperate food dishes and water dishes and plenty if cover. They do there own thing not bothered by each other at all :) |

Posted - 12/03/2013 : 23:56:29 The pinstripe is a keeper for sure, I have two more eggs in the incubator haven't really checked if they are viable yet. I think both females probably have more clutches to come, but may try and slow them down a bit lol. So will see how many I get and decide what im keeping.
This was actually a college project and the completion day is tomorrow lol, so perfect timing to write it up properly, other than being a month behind schedule its gone well and the adults are still looking great. Only took exactly 60 days to incubate these two.
Must admit I don't have much luck with gecko tails, but these two are together for now. |

Posted - 12/03/2013 : 21:23:03 I have decided to name them after regions in southern New Caledonia where they are from. The flame is called Farino and the pinstripe is called Noumea. |

I wouldnt say dal. They have to be pretty spotty to be called dal these days lol but their spot develop over time so when they are juvi they may develop into dal x |

Posted - 12/03/2013 : 20:24:38 Thanks guys, and thanks Georgina & Figs, on closer inspection I can see some dalmatian in them as well, which makes sense, though not that obvious. So a Flame Dalmatian like its mum and a Harlequin Partial Pinstripe Dalmatian (if that exists), better photos -
