Posted - 29/09/2012 : 16:19:01 Well I had a massive population explosion of springtails and they were harassing the poor snails so it was time to clean them out. Thought I'd share.
I bought them a black toy box and chopped a door into it for them, then buried it into the soil, somewhere for them to hide out.
And they are really starting to earn their giant status

Though cleaning out the snails is a mammoth task, the soil is full of worms, I had to sieve all 30 litres of soil for them. Any ones I have missed will now be in my back garden helping the soil out there. |

My cousin is considering them for her grand-daughter. She's taken to caring for the common snails in her garden.
Did you hear about the Nigerian smuggler who tried to get a load of really humungus GALS through Glasgow Airport at the beginning of September? The Scottish Reptile & Exotic Rescue are taking care of them for now. If you are on Facebook you can see them here: (Scroll down to early Septemberposts.)
