Finally got the pics back of Fudge, i think female, but would like confirmation.

Hope these are clear enough?

I wanted a pic of Fudge on the photo frame, typical wouldnt face the right way, then she looked at the pic as if maybe thinking how much she had grown!

i can now see goyles pores when hes out and about, i would imagine you would be able to see them whilst handling. goyle weighed 17g when i look that pic he now weighs 22g :)
lotabob Posted - 10/07/2012 : 22:10:30
Haha, probably thought reptile porn was a step too far lol.
scottishbluebird Posted - 10/07/2012 : 22:07:13
Well she is now 10 months, 17 grams, i really dont think there is pores, i had a good study of that pic of yours from before!
its annoying because in one of the pics could be start of bulge, but i dont think so, for now anyway Fudge is a girl unless bits grow! was funny when i zoomed in i was right close to screen, son came through, gave me weird look, walked out lol
Georgina Posted - 10/07/2012 : 20:38:58
ok, so i havnt been on my laptop for a couple of days. its hard to say without using a macro lense, how much does she weigh, pores (i have been told) develop at about 17-20g and at around 9 - 10 months old. goyle is around 10 months and i have been able to see his pores for a onth or so. and he defo has a bulge now. here a pic of his pores so you can compare xx

lol Fudge does the chasing shadows, when i used to feed her in a seperate rub, she would see the spots on the cover and constntly attack them, had to move blanket incase she hurt her nose.
Cresties are just so amusing, wish id got one years ago!
lotabob Posted - 10/07/2012 : 12:40:00
Harley does that, always jumps and end up swinging by his tail, or overshoots the handing and again ends up swinging by his tail. I hope he never loses it or he'll be falling all the time lol.

Harley is a super stalker his pupils go so wide and he stalks sneaking closer and closer then just leaps mouth first, not a care as to where he will actually land as long as he catches the insect. He also chases shadows, its hilarious to watch.

Fudge is a right little hunter, so focused when they move, really slow at stalking, i jump when she pounces, but i jump when my toast pops

Its such a shame just how easy the tails can come off, just hope it never happens to her, although i wont love her any less, will just be gutted id done something wrong
Though im surprised she hasnt dropped it on purpose, the amount of time she jumps forgetting her tail is stuck to something is so funny

i say u have a little girl and a lovely one at that :) they can drop their tails if they have been nipped , maybe due to stuck shed acting as a tournequet and constricting . i had one loose a tail due to another nipping it , the shed then got stuck and resulted in a tail dropping .

Not sure i want more wax worms, too fattening for Fudge, only ferret would eat them, but he does love them! so maybe, just really want to see if the moths would amuse Fudge
lotabob Posted - 08/07/2012 : 23:36:58
The roaches might have a nibble at the waxworms, If you want moths take your worms out of the shavings and put them in a tub of finely crushed weetabix mixed with set honey, not so much its sticky, the mix should still crumble but they will eat this and get their grow on. When they start to make a chrysalis you can put a few thin strips of cardboard into the tub, the moths will then emerge and lay eggs on the cardboard, and then put the tub to one side for a few months and then come back to a tub full of free wax worms.

AAARRGGGHHHHHH!! So she is back to a she? omg i gettin a headache lol

Fudge says 'Hi' back to Harley, not happy when i said they couldn't have a 'playdate'

Since you are the 'bug guy' could i put my wax worms in my dubia tub would they eat each other? its big and want moths for Fudge
lotabob Posted - 08/07/2012 : 21:55:41

oh well, dont know when OH brother in law will be back here, but will ask him to bring his camera back, try to get better shots.
I really dont mind if a male or female either way, and in time will be very obvious as to who is right!
Ok, i am an idiot, i didnt even think about the zoom button i am not sure about seeing pores, but deff looks like start of a bulge

I'm going to scrap my original call and change it, Fudge is a girl, partly because I had a look at Harley's undercarriage and partly because I just downloaded your picture, blew it up and altered the colouration. Its not pores just slight reflection off a few scales

For reference this is Harley's rudey bits, the pores are clear as day and as for the bulge (Linford Christie comes to mind) its clearly there too.

Thanks SB, friends friend was just worried that she had done something wrong and caused the tail drop somehow. Must have just been one of those things.
