Here's another thread of Enzo and his colour change, I couldn't believe how green he was yesterday so I took a ridiculous amount of photos to show you all
They came out much lighter on my home PC, they appear really dark on my work one right now, so hopefully they're not too crappy and dark on your screens

There are so many snakes I wish I could have *sigh*
manda88 Posted - 28/02/2012 : 14:53:10
Just realised I refer to him as he, but actually we have no idea if he's a he or a she
manda88 Posted - 28/02/2012 : 14:52:34
Haha yup he's mini! I'm looking forward to when he's a big boy, he's moving into a 30x30x45 Exo very soon
Mort13 Posted - 27/02/2012 : 19:57:01
Aw he's dinky! Just showed the pics to my son,his jaw dropped lol.

Mwahahahaha

OI! Cheeky!!
manda88 Posted - 24/02/2012 : 13:09:24
That's because he's a big girl he's coming over soon to see them all so I'll show him just how docile he really is! Yeah I've heard that Arus are the best GTPs for handling and things, Biaks are quite aggressive supposedly, they're so beautiful though. The sire of Enzo's clutch is as handleable as a corn, he was awesome! The most stunning GTP I've ever seen, gorgeous greens and blues all over
smart bunny Posted - 24/02/2012 : 12:50:31
Oh right, I just wondered why oakleyman seemed so wary lol!! I did read that they are supposedly the most docile of the pythons (when captive bred here and not imported ones). They do look absolutely stunning but I think it would drive me mad that they are not keen on handling, I wouldn't be able to resist!!
manda88 Posted - 24/02/2012 : 12:47:13
Well during the day he does absolutely nothing at all, he just sits there curled round his perch and does sweet FA! But then once the lights go out and it's dark outside, that's when he comes to life, he's not aggressive in the slightest, but night time is when he automatically assumes it's time to eat, so when we lift the lid off his tub he's right there in your face looking for food haha, if he bit us it would purely be a feeding response, there's no aggression in him whatsoever, he's like a kitten!
My OH held him a couple of weeks ago, not intentionally mind, Enzo just decided he wanted to come out for an adventure and slid onto Matt's hand. They're fine to hold as long as you don't wrench them off their perch and potentially damage their spine, but we don't intend on handling him at all, not until he's a lot bigger anyway, and even then it would be once in a blue moon just to show him off

Oh wow, what a huge change! He is totally gorgeous x

Why would you not go near him at night? Are GTP's aggressive? I thought they were supposed to be docile if captive bred?
manda88 Posted - 23/02/2012 : 14:33:04
This pic is from the beginning of January, next to my hand!

Mort13 Posted - 23/02/2012 : 11:29:55
Aw 45 grams, that has surprised me. That would be brill, cheers.
manda88 Posted - 23/02/2012 : 11:20:06
He weighs about 45g, we weighed him the other day but he was on his perch so he have to guesstimate a little bit, he's not very big at all, I think if you saw him in real life you'd be surprised at his size I'll grab a pic of him next to something later!
Mort13 Posted - 22/02/2012 : 09:42:19
Its the very speed of the change that gets me too! My son more than likes him,he's amazed by him!
How big is he now as its hard to tell on the pics?
manda88 Posted - 22/02/2012 : 09:20:14
Haha trust me, Oscar, he's about as scary as a fruit fly during the day! I promise you When taking these pics I had the camera literally millimetres from his face and he didn't give a toss!
Mand, the change in him is crazy isn't it! I keep looking at him and thinking the same thing! I'm glad your son likes him
Mort13 Posted - 21/02/2012 : 21:36:04
Oh wow,he's changing loads. Just looked at the pic of him in the calendar, hard to believe its the same snake. I'll have to show my son tomorrow as he loves him.
oakleyman18 Posted - 21/02/2012 : 21:12:28
Hahh! Yeahhh sure.. Should I bring my chain mail gloves and a welding mask or something just to be safe?
manda88 Posted - 21/02/2012 : 21:06:20
Thanks all, glad you all like him! Osc, when you come over I'll show you just how close you can get to him! Just make sure you come over during the day cos there's no chance of me getting that close to him after dark haha, he'll have my nose for dinner!
Falice Posted - 21/02/2012 : 20:29:31
