Or Brazilian Salmon Pink Bird Eating Tarantula as she likes to be addressed. She is only a sling at the moment but will grow up to be about 10 inches in legspan.

I went through loads of different types of Tarantula but this little titchy thing won my heart. I look forward to watching her grow and grow and grow.

Haha yeah their six pack underneath is odd looking.

Sorry to hear about Betty
That second photo of Sam moulting is one of the reasons I don't do spiders. The way their legs are attached to their bodies is far too freaky

Sorry for your loss lotabob xx

Chileans are good but not the handleable calm spider everyone describes, they have a naughty streak.

There she is all moulted and looking a bit squishy

Amazing spider!! Maybe one day I'll pick one up. I'm not interested in handling them, although I don't mind doing so. I think they'd be a fascinating pet to watch instead of a TV.

Went to check on her before bed and found this

Moulting. lol.

Really really Diddy, but quick growing and will be a monster size when grown. Not great for handling but I honestly think the same applies to all Tarantulas, even my mild mannered Chilean decided it was in a bad mood today and got all defensive, will have to leave the move to a new deep tub for another day.

RIP Betty

Sam looks quite nice though... well, for a terrifying spider thing

Sam is a replacement, I unfortunately lost my OBT at the weekend to a bad moult. Will look to get another OBT soon but when I was browsing this little one really impressed me.
