Yep, they totally disappear under the sand and they move around under the deep sand so you never really know where they are until they emerge the next day. |

They are Schneider skinks but most often called Berber Skinks. They are amazing to watch great at climbing but its more of a free fall on the way down. Not really suitable for being handled though as they are extremely quick and will not hesitate to jump from your head, which is where they will go if you let them out on your arm. They always head to the highest point :) |
